Community Guidelines
Microdrama AI is a platform where creators publish their work for others to watch. These guidelines set the limits that apply to every work, comment, and message on the Services, and explain how we respond when those limits are crossed.
1. Basic Principles
These guidelines apply to all material that appears on the Services: published dramas and episodes, titles, cover art, descriptions, display names, profile pictures, comments, and private messages.
Drama is fiction, and fiction may touch dark themes. What we assess is not simply whether a theme is present, but how it is presented. Depicting wrongdoing as part of a story is different from celebrating, justifying, or teaching it. That distinction is the basis of our judgement.
Because your work can be watched publicly in Indonesia, all work must comply with Indonesian law, regardless of where you were when you made it.
2. Absolutely Prohibited Content
Sexual material involving children in any form, including depictions, suggestions, writing, or synthetic characters who appear underage in a sexual context. For this breach we terminate the account immediately without warning and report it to law enforcement.
Pornography, explicit nudity, and vulgar sexual scenes, in line with Law Number 44 of 2008 on Pornography. Romantic interest, tension, and implied intimacy are allowed; explicit depiction of sexual acts is not.
Incitement to and propaganda for terrorism, violent extremism, and recruitment for banned organisations.
Hate speech and insults targeting a person or group based on ethnicity, religion, race, intergroup relations, disability, sex, or sexual orientation.
Gambling, fraud, pyramid schemes, fraudulent investment offers, sale of narcotics and illegal drugs, and trade in other illegal goods.
3. Violence, Suicide, and Sensitive Themes
Violence may appear as a story element, but must not be presented in a gratuitously sadistic way without narrative purpose, for example prolonged torture shown purely for shock.
Suicide and self-harm may be referred to as part of a story, but you may not show methods in detail, give instructions, glorify the act, or present it as an admirable way out. We encourage you to include recovery context or support resources when handling this theme.
Dangerous practices such as pesugihan, santet, and rituals, which appear in our catalogue as horror genres, must remain treated as fiction. Presenting them as practical instruction, a genuine invitation, or a service offering is prohibited.
Work dealing with adult themes within permitted limits must carry the appropriate maturity marker at publication, so viewers can make an informed choice.
4. Copyright and Other People's Work
Publish only work in which you hold the rights. You may not upload or use scripts, music, sound recordings, film clips, photographs, or designs belonging to others without lawful permission, including as reference material in production.
Adapting an existing work, for example closely following the plot of a film or novel, still requires permission from the rights holder. Being inspired by a genre or a common story pattern is not an infringement; copying distinctive protected elements is.
You may not re-upload another creator's work, whether from Microdrama AI or another platform, as though it were your own.
Rights holders may file a complaint under the procedure in the Terms of Service. An account that receives well-founded copyright complaints repeatedly will be terminated permanently and removed from the Monetisation Programme.
5. Resemblance to Real People
All characters in the cast library are synthesised by artificial intelligence and are not real people. You may not use the Services to create depictions resembling real people without their written consent, including public figures, celebrities, state officials, and the deceased.
This prohibition covers face and voice imitation that could lead viewers to believe someone genuinely said or did something they never did.
You also may not portray others in a demeaning, defamatory, or sexualised context, including people you know personally.
If you find work that resembles you in a burdensome way, report it using the report button on the work's page or contact support@microdrama.id with adequate proof of identity.
6. Honesty and Authenticity
You may not impersonate another person, brand, or institution through your display name, profile picture, or work description.
You may not spread false information capable of causing public unrest or harming others, particularly concerning health, disasters, and political processes. Fiction that clearly reads as fiction is not covered by this prohibition.
Titles, cover art, and descriptions must reflect the content of the work. You may not use misleading covers or titles purely to attract clicks, especially those promising sexual or sensational material that the episode does not contain.
7. Metric Manipulation and System Abuse
You may not artificially inflate views, watch time, likes, comments, or episode unlocks, whether through automated programs, multiple accounts, paid services, or unnatural reciprocal viewing arrangements.
You may not create multiple accounts to evade sanctions, circumvent quota limits, or inflate earnings unlawfully.
Metric manipulation directly affects the Monetisation Programme. Earnings derived from manipulative activity will be reversed, and participation in the programme may be revoked permanently.
8. How to Treat Other Users
Treat other creators and viewers with respect. Harassment, bullying, threats, and organised campaigns against an individual are prohibited.
You may not disclose another person's personal data without permission, including addresses, phone numbers, workplaces, and screenshots of private conversations.
You may not send unsolicited repeated messages, repetitive promotion, harmful links, or invitations to transact outside the Services through the messaging feature or comment sections.
Criticism of a work is permitted and valuable. Criticism is different from attacking the person who made it.
9. How to Report a Breach
Use the report button available on drama, episode, and comment pages. Choose the closest matching reason and add a short note so that review is faster and more accurate.
For urgent matters involving child safety, credible threats of violence, or terrorism, also report to support@microdrama.id with the subject Urgent Report so that we can prioritise it.
For copyright complaints, use the complaint procedure set out in the Terms of Service so that your complaint contains the required information.
You may not abuse the reporting tools, for example by mass-reporting a competitor's work without basis. Abusing reporting is itself a breach of these guidelines.
10. Enforcement and Your Right to Appeal
The actions available to us are graduated and matched to the seriousness of the breach: warning, reduced visibility, unpublishing, content removal, feature restriction, temporary suspension, revocation of monetisation, and permanent account termination.
For minor first-time breaches we prioritise a warning and an opportunity to correct. For breaches under Section 2, particularly those involving child safety and terrorism, we terminate immediately without warning.
You will receive notice of the action taken and the reasons for it, so long as giving notice would not impede law enforcement. You may appeal to support@microdrama.id within fourteen calendar days of the notice, and your appeal will be reviewed by personnel other than the original reviewer where practicable.
We may update these guidelines as new patterns of abuse emerge and as regulation changes. The date of the most recent update appears at the top of this page.
